“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!”
Psalm 150:6
Praise, worship, and gratitude are the number one keys to keeping the fire of the Holy Spirit alive.
Such a stance should always be at the center of your relationship with Christ.
There was a season of finding myself in a spiritual desert and crisis when the Holy Spirit was no longer present. It returned after a while, but it wasn’t as powerful as before.
With all the strain I’ve been looking for answers, and most of all point out the main reason is disobedience.
Among this, I became entangled in a web of Satan’s lies, which, like a dam, infiltrated my life. Condemnation, despair, sadness, fear, and anxiety can rapidly descend on you, and you feel paralyzed and trapped in a cage.
Have you ever been dragged into the vortex of worldly worries that have taken over your life?
If we are not firmly rooted in the Lord, it’s easy to be dragged away by the current of the river. If we are opening doors to worldly things and not being submitted to the Lord.
SERVE GOD WITH GRATITUDE
The Bible instructs us to pour out our hearts before Him, but all I did was complain and bemoan. Everything revolved solely around me.
At that moment, the Lord whispered to me: “How much time will you keep on wasting on regrets in the past and worrying about the future?”
The next day, I began praying in a new tone and manner, worshiping and praising the Lord! And at that moment, the Holy Spirit’s presence filled me like fire! What joy and gratitude is this!
START PRAISING GOD
You can see how crucial it is to keep worship, praise, and gratitude at the center of your relationship with God. Joyfully accept what God gives you.
Be still and do not fall into the trap of complaining, frustration, selflessness, and ungratefulness. Every day is a gift from God, and all we have to do is serve Him with sincere hearts with the attitude of gratitude, faith, praise, and true worship!
Take delight in His name. Thank him for all he has done for you.
Follow God’s Word, His Truth, and His Way. Don’t let your emotions rule your life.
Praise Him in the hallway even when you don’t feel it or see it!
SPIRITUAL RENEWAL
It is crucial to regularly renew our minds with God’s Word and put on the shield of faith.
“In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one.”
Ephesians 6:16
Because of jealousy, Joseph was sold by his brothers to Egypt. Not only did he not give in to his emotions, but he also served the Lord faithfully and remained committed to Jesus till the end.
When Peter was imprisoned, he did not give up but instead began singing hymns and songs to God’s glory.
THE CENTER OF THIS LIFE IS JESUS, NOT US
We must be reminded over and over that this life on earth is not about us, but about Jesus, who gave His life for us:
“He must increase, but I must decrease.”
John 3:30
Jesus Christ’s followers are to worship Him in spirit and truth, maintain a constant state of prayer, and be joyful in the living hope:
“God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”
John 4:24
We cannot simultaneously be between two walls:
“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.”
Matthew 6:24
A ship lives in water, but if water gets into it, it sinks to the bottom. So we may live in the world, but if the world gets into us, we sink.
JESUS IS THE SHEPHERD AND WE ARE THE SHEEP
Don’t give the devil a foothold. Let the seeds that fall into good soil flourish, and praise the Lord. 🙂
Let’s join as Christ’s soldiers and fight the good fight with faith rather than return to the yoke of slavery.
How did your mood change when you started your day with praise and worship? I would love to know. 🙂
