MEET THE GIRL BEHIND THE BLOG
Hey, gorgeous, and welcome! I’m Zalka, a zealous disciple of Jesus with a heart on fire for His Kingdom. Forever mercy is about revealing our souls to society, embracing our imperfections, and helping each other on our faith journey. It is an encouraging community for believers who want to grow spiritually and connect to other people of faith. I also want to spark curiosity in those who don’t know Christ but are intrigued by the Holy Spirit.
Here’s a little about me: I’m a simple girl, friend, and wife, who struggled with depression, suicidal thoughts, and hopelessness for multiple years before founding Christ. Through countless disappointments—especially in my career path—God showed me that relying on people and things will always let me down:
“Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD himself, is the Rock eternal.”
Isaiah 26:4
In 2020, during the global pandemic, I joined a faith-based Facebook group that became a tremendous blessing. Hearing the truth of the Gospel—that Jesus loves me and died for me, and that it’s all about a relationship with Him—began to transform my heart.
That summer, I traveled to Sicily, and upon my return, I lost my student status, leaving me unemployed and fearful. This became the turning point where I realized God was my only lifeline. I faced one disappointment after another, and the weight of it all took a toll on me. What felt like a downward spiral became the beginning of my relationship with Jesus.
I humbled myself and surrendered my life to Jesus, speaking to Him as a friend. In that prayer, I experienced immense joy, peace, and freedom. I was completely renewed by the Holy Spirit and healed from all that had tormented me.
After being born again, my life had truly just begun. I was given purpose, new desires, and a burning desire to serve and please the Lord.
I’m committed to being led by the Spirit, while also challenging you to live for Jesus. I will share my personal experiences, daily trials, and tribulations to encourage you to live in the moment and draw closer to Jesus.
“The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
Lamentations 3:22-23
