MEET ZALKA PANGERL
Hey, gorgeous, and welcome! I’m Zalka, a zealous disciple of Jesus with a heart on fire for His Kingdom. Forever mercy is about revealing our souls to society, embracing our imperfections, and helping each other on our faith journey. It is an encouraging community for believers who want to grow spiritually and connect to other people of faith. I also want to spark curiosity in those who don’t know Christ but are intrigued by the Holy Spirit.
Here’s a little about me: I’m a simple girl, friend, and wife, who struggled with depression, suicidal thoughts, and hopelessness for multiple years before finding Christ.
In my career, I began to experience disappointment after disappointment until it became too much for me. This downward spiral became a turning point, where God stripped away everything I had been relying on and showed me that when all else fails, He doesn’t.
“Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD himself, is the Rock eternal.”
Isaiah 26:4
Accepting Jesus as my Lord and Savior during a season of unemployment turned out to be the greatest blessing.
In 2020, during the global pandemic, I joined a faith-based Facebook group where hearing the Truth of the Gospel: “Jesus loves you, He died for you” and “It’s about a relationship with Him,” started changing me.
That summer, I traveled to Sicily, and when I returned, I lost my student status, which left me unemployed and fearful of the future. I was at my absolute rock bottom, breaking point. It was in that moment that Jesus became the only place I could run to.
As I humbled myself and surrendered my life to Jesus, speaking to Him as a friend, I was overwhelmed by joy, peace, and freedom. In that moment, the Holy Spirit renewed me completely and healed me from all that had once tormented me.
All my dreams were shattered, but God ignited the bigger dreams I was destined for all along.
Do you want to know what’s crazy about this whole thing? I would never have encountered Jesus if it weren’t for reaching my rock bottom.
It may feel like the end, but it’s really just the beginning.
After I was born again, I was given new purpose and desires, along with a burning passion to serve and please the Lord.
I’m committed to being led by the Spirit, while also challenging you to live for Jesus. I will share my personal experiences, daily trials, and tribulations to encourage you to live in the moment and draw closer to Jesus.
